Why Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary Tour
The Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary in Rajasthan is situated only 200 km from Delhi and 107 km from Jaipur. Although larger than Ranthambore, it is less commercialised and has less tigers but a very similar topography. The diverse wildlife sanctuary is a wonderful example of ecological adoption and tolerance, for the climate here is flexible as well as erratic. The tiger reserve of Sariksa India was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1958 and came under the "Project Tiger" as a tiger reserve in 1979.

Home of the majestic Tiger, Sariska is one of the many protected wildlife sanctuaries in India where Project Tiger met with success. Set amidst the scrubby Aravali Hills, the wildlife Sanctuary of Sariska sprawls across dry thorny deciduous forests, covered almost ninety per cent by the Dhok tree.
